Within our energy management software, we use PostHog software to analyse the use of our application and to improve user-friendliness.
a) Nature and scope of data processing
PostHog uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about the use of the software. In particular, the following data is processed:
The internal, pseudonymous user identifier is a randomly generated UUID that is permanently assigned to a user account and enables recognition within the application without directly identifying the data subject. The data collected is used exclusively for analysing usage behaviour as well as for improving and troubleshooting the software. We do not collect any content from form fields via PostHog. IP addresses are also not stored.

Processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Without your consent, no processing will take place within the scope of PostHog.

You can withdraw or adjust your consent at any time with effect for the future via our consent banner. In addition, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data processed within the scope of PostHog. You can contact us at any time at info@greenpocket.de for this purpose.
e) Hosting and data processing
PostHog is operated in our own infrastructure on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Frankfurt am Main. For individual tenants, PostHog can alternatively be used via the PostHog EU Cloud. In these cases, processing takes place on servers within Germany. In both cases, processing takes place exclusively within the European Union. There is no transfer to third countries.
f) Storage duration
The data collected is deleted on a case-by-case basis as soon as it is no longer required for the stated purposes. Deletion takes place in particular in the following cases:
Cookies can be used to determine whether your device already communicated with the Energy Management Software. They are used to analyse user behaviour, detect user preferences and optimally design our product. These analyses are conducted with the Matomo tool (https://matomo.org/).
Matomo is an open source software designed for the statistical evaluation of user requests. Matomo uses so-called "cookies". The information obtained by the cookies are stored on the web server. The collecting and processing of your IP address allows us to relate browsing activities back to you as a visitor to our website, or the owner of the respective IP address.
You can object to the Matomo analyses if you do not want information about your visit being collected and analysed. In order to do this an opt-out cookie is set in your browser. This cookie's sole function is to remember your objection.
